The Tomorrow War is an fast paced action packed alien movie and it’s about saving the future from a powerful species that can wipe humans out from the planet earth. It is also a veteran family drama and it centers around forester family. This timely tale deals with global issues facing us today both in terms of the pandemic and the global warming. It also deals with some tough issues a veteran family has to face such as father absence and PTSD.
Dan (Chris Pratt) who gets drafted to the war learns what’s at stake for him and realises that he has been given a second chance to save the world and his daughter. Learning from colonal (Yvonne Strahovski) and his experiences he becomes a changed person who has a cause to fight.
This $200 million blockbuster has allocated a lot of screen time to its scary, life like and believable aliens. Colonal (Yvonne Strahovski), Charlie (Sam Richardson), James Forester (J. K. Simmons), Dorian (Edwin Hodge) and Lt. Hart (Jasmine Mathews) are some well played characters apart from Dan Forester (Chris Pratt). Colonal who unwittingly inspires Dan Forester (Chris Pratt) and causes some much needed changes in him is very well played by Yvonne Strahovski. Charlie’s character is funny and enjoyable however he couldn’t have survived the draft. Other characters are well played as well.
Overall it’s a good movie with a positive message that we need to fight for our families and secure a future of our next generation.
